Knaresborough reserves moved to the next round of the Harrogate & District F.A. Whitworth Cup after a 6-0 victory over Harlow Hill at Manse Lane.
Steve Walker’s 12th minute free kick opened the scoring and ten minutes later, Ben Dickens wriggled past two defenders before tucking the ball past Lewis Murray in the Harlow goal.
Tandai Machama fired wide and Dickens had a further effort saved, but at the close of the half it was Craig Logan who shot just wide for the visitors. Jonty Maullin’s persistence produced the third goal in the 47th minute as he fired home with the help of a deflection.
Machama had a shot wide and a header brilliantly saved before Mauliin’s shot was cleared from the line, but it was three goals in six minutes which settled the tie.
Maullin hit his second into the bottom corner in the 73rd minute and then Derrelle Goodison volleyed home a superb strike a minute later.
The final goal arrived in the 78th minute when Walker’s cross shot found the net and there was still time for James Baggott to bring a save from Murray and a Harlow defender to head against his own post.
