Neil Reaney joins the club as Joint Managing Director
Neil Reaney joins the club as Joint Managing Director
We are delighted to announce that Neil Reaney has joined the club as Joint Managing Director.
Neil, who is Land & Development Director at Myrings, is a Knaresborough local and connected to the local Knaresborough community. Neil has years of experience in Senior and Managing Director positions. His knowledge and passion for football alongside his passion for the club make him a fantastic addition.
Neil made his first team debut on 16th August 1997 V Wakefield at Manse Lane, but played in a Sunday side under Paul Howard in the early 1990’s. Neil made 20 starts and 5 sub appearances for the first team scoring 4 goals. He also made 2 appearances for the reserves. Neil scored 11 minutes into his Town debut in a 2-0 win.

We are delighted to announce that Rob Northfield has joined the club as Managing Director. Rob joins the club bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. Rob has previously been chairman at Guiseley, Tadcaster Albion & Harrogate Railway.
Rob Northfield is a businessman, motivational speaker. Rob Northfield has a long-standing career in non-league football and is known for his charity work around the Harrogate and Knaresborough areas alongside being an ambassador for Henshaws.

“Knaresborough Town AFC are delighted to welcome Rob Northfield as our new Managing Director. Rob brings extensive experience from his time as a director at both Guiseley AFC and Tadcaster Albion, along with three spells as Chairman of Harrogate Railway Athletic.
His knowledge of non‑league football and club development will be a real asset as we continue to grow on and off the pitch.

The Emirates FA Cup – Extra Prelimanary Round Replay
Bridlington Town v Knaresborough Town
Following a report of an incident which occourred in the above match, the matter has been reffered to a Sub-Committee appointed by The FA Professional Game Board. The incident involved Knaresborough Town FC being incorrectly advised by the match referee that they could not make a further subsitution in or around the 106th minute of the match having used three subsitutions in normal time, followed by one subsitution in extra time (a fourth in total), which is in contravention of FA Cup rule 126 or the Rules of the Competition,below;
126 in the qualifying compitition, each club may:
126.1 include a maximum of seven subsitute players on the Official Team Sheet;
126.2 use five substitute Players at any time during a Competition Match; and
126.3 where extra time is played in a Competition Match in accordance with rule 87, use one additional subsitute in thst period of extra time (i.e. a sixth in total)
It is therefore orderd pursuant to Rule 12 of the rules of the competiton that the match be replayed in its entirety to a conclusion at Bridlington Town FC on Tuesday 12 August, 7:45pm kick-off, noting that the tie must be completed within the Third window (no later than Thursday 14 August) in accordance to rule 65 of the rules of the Competition.
Furthermore, it was noted by the Sub-Comittee that neither Club had been at fault for the incident which had occurred. However, given the circumstances involved, the Sub-Committee were of the view that it was appropriate to consider the matter and that the action taken was deemed fair on both clubs, and in the best interest of the competition
